Pain Relief
Treatments

Your body holds more wisdom than it has been given credit for. These modalities work with that intelligence, easing pain, releasing old patterns, and giving your nervous system permission to settle.

The approach

Dani brings a background spanning personal training, remedial massage, and energy modalities to every session. Pain was where it started, because it was the most obvious place to look. Over time, and across hundreds of sessions, it became clear that physical pain rarely tells the whole story. That understanding led her into the unconscious mind as well, working with patterns held in the body that have their roots somewhere deeper. The work now sits across both, because that is where the longer lasting results are found.

She works with a range of modalities, some of which are described below, applied intuitively depending on what each person's body and situation calls for.

Remedial Massage

Targeted, clinical massage designed to locate and treat the source of pain rather than simply ease the surface. Dani uses a range of techniques including deep tissue work, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy to address chronic tension, postural imbalances, and injury-related pain patterns.

Remedial work investigates why an area is holding in the first place. Whether that is compensation from an old injury, repetitive strain, or movement habits built up over years, the goal is change that lasts beyond the session itself.

Dani's background in personal training means she understands the body in motion, not just on a table, which changes what she looks for and what she finds.

Often helpful for
  • Chronic back and neck pain
  • Shoulder tension
  • Headaches and jaw tension
  • Repetitive strain
  • Post-sport recovery
  • Postural dysfunction
  • Sciatica and hip pain

Emmett Therapy

Emmett Therapy is a gentle muscle release technique developed by Australian therapist Ross Emmett and internationally recognised for its effectiveness. It uses precise, light-pressure sequences on specific points across the body to trigger the nervous system into releasing deeply held muscle tension.

What makes Emmett different is that it is non-invasive and works with the body's own neurological pathways rather than forcing tissue change through pressure or manipulation. The touch is subtle but the response from the body is often immediate and significant. People frequently notice changes in range of motion, posture, and pain levels within minutes of treatment.

It is particularly valuable for people who are too sensitive for deep tissue work, those recovering from injury, and anyone whose body has been holding patterns for a long time without resolution through conventional approaches.

Often helpful for
  • Restricted movement
  • Emotional tension stored in the body
  • Sensitivity to deep pressure
  • Chronic holding patterns
  • Stress and nervous system dysregulation
  • Children and elderly clients
  • Post-surgery recovery

McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release

Scars are not just cosmetic. Whether from surgery, trauma, or accident, scar tissue forms three-dimensionally through the fascial network and over time that internal restriction can pull on structures nowhere near the original site of injury.

The McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Technique (MSTR) is a gentle, evidence-informed approach developed specifically to address the physical and sometimes emotional effects of scar tissue. Using very light sustained touch, the technique works on the nervous system's relationship with the scar, helping both the physical tissue and the body's memory of the injury to settle.

Old scars, new scars, caesarean scars, appendectomy, laparoscopy, joint replacement. If you have scar tissue that you suspect is contributing to pain or restriction elsewhere in your body, this is worth exploring.

Often helpful for
  • Caesarean and abdominal scars
  • Surgical scars
  • Trauma and accident scars
  • Pain or tightness near old injuries
  • Referred pain from scar tissue
  • Numbness or hypersensitivity around scars

Raindrop Technique

Raindrop Technique is a sequence developed by D. Gary Young combining the therapeutic application of Young Living essential oils with specific light touch along the spine. A carefully selected range of oils are applied in a precise sequence, each working with different parts of the body system as a whole, designed to bring the body into structural and energetic alignment.

Working with the reflexology points on the feet and a feathering technique up the spine, the treatment moves with the lymphatic system before layering specific massage techniques to expand the muscles and release tension through the body as a whole. The cumulative effect supports a gentle lymphatic flush, which alongside essential oils long recognised for enhancing immune function, makes this treatment as deeply nourishing for the body's internal systems as it is for the nervous system. Clients often describe a sense of spinal decompression and emotional settling that stays with them well beyond the session.

Dani uses only genuine Young Living essential oils throughout this treatment. Raindrop is always offered as a standalone session, though some of the oils within it are drawn on during remedial massage when working with specific presentations.

Often helpful for
  • Spinal tension and scoliosis support
  • Immune system support
  • Deep nervous system relaxation
  • Energetic clearing
  • Emotional release held in the spine
  • Overall wellbeing and alignment
